Lake Erie Invaders Welcome You

Welcome to the online home of the Lake Erie Invaders, northeast Ohio’s premiere minor-league football team!

The Lake Erie Invaders are already preparing for the 2010 season! The biggest announcement is the change of leagues. The Lake Erie Invaders have been voted into the Heartland Football League!! The HFL (www.heartlandfootball.org) began with some powerhouse teams from Central and southern Ohio and even West Virginia. Due to the initial success of this league and the closer travel, it has grown from 8 teams in 2009 to 24 teams in 2010!!

The Invaders will be in the Northern Conference, Red Division along with the rival North Coast Vikings, the Northeast Ohio Disciples and newcomers, the Lake Erie Panthers. The HFL is made up of teams from Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, West Virginia and Kentucky.

The Invaders are excited about this new opportunity as there are two other Northern divisions each with local area teams which will help keep travel to a minimum!! Playoffs, a championship and even the All-Star game will have the best teams playing deep into next season!!

Returning players have already begun their off-season workouts in preparation for team off-season conditioning starting soon. Joining now will promote early growth and bonding within the team as everyone prepares for the NFL-style combine in February/March (keep checking for that announcement)!!
