Minor league football, sometimes referred to as Semi-pro or adult-amateur, takes a tremendous amount of effort and finances to maintain a season. This level of football is always looking to better itself, it requires the latest safety equipment and great officiating crews.

The days of minor league teams playing in a local park or in sub-standard facilities is past. One look at the Invaders' multi-million dollar facility with it's huge locker rooms and state-of-the-art turf playing surface are proof enough of that.

Sports and ALL levels rely on some kind of sponsorship in order to be financially sound. The NFL could NOT pay those outrageous salaries were it not for money from television. Far too many leagues have tried to compete with the NFL and in order to draw worthy players, they have required similar monies from TV sponsorships. This is the general downfall of these new leagues (USFL, XFL, AFL, etc.)

Minor league gives players an opportunity to continue to play the game they love most - and they ask for no compensation!! They truly play for love of the game! Some players may be past their prime and can no longer make a pro roster - some have the talent to make it to the "next level" but need a stepping-stone to get there. Minor-league football provides these opportunities.
